Major (Retired) Laurence Edwin Darlington, Jr. passed away at his residence on September 30, 2016, at the age of 86. Born in Corvallis, Oregon, Pete served his country with distinction in the United States Army during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his dedicated military career, he worked for the State of Alabama ABC Board until his retirement. He is survived by his three daughters, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Pete graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Germany with the Class of 1947. As part of the pioneering generation of students in the post-WWII overseas school system, he is fondly remembered by fellow "Eagles" for his lifelong connection to his classmates. He later continued his education at the University of Oregon.

A member of the Overseas Brats community since 2013, Pete remained a proud part of our network, often sharing his experiences with fellow military alumni.
