Being in Tehran was a wonderful experience - not only lifetime friends, but unique experiences - e.g. climbing Tochal with Chris Robie and Steve Thom, sharing Shams beer in the local pubs, skiing at Ob-Ali, incredible summers at the swimming pool at the Officer's Club - learning some Farsi, navigating the bazars, taking toman taxis, and countless interactions with Iranians and general life experiences not to be found the States.
